Mid-Week riding to school adventure

Did you know that a survey came out revealing that kids who rode or walked to school had a better concentration span than kids who came to school by transport. Surprisingly it was even more important than that having breakfast (though we think that breakfast still remains essential). Fascinating, read the full article here. So we ride to school when we can and there are several ways we can go, some extreme and others not so extreme. But all ways are fun and that’s the key, fun! And here’s one route that we like, a little more cross country, a lot more fun and always an adventure! What better way to get to school! Burleigh Heads Walk, Something Special

We all really enjoy this Burleigh Heads walk, it’s one we do on a regular basis. Why? Well the list is long but following are a few highlights: 1.Burleigh Heads National Park is way local, it’s simple to find, you’re close to everything and there are a few different ways to access it so you can mix it up a bit. On my way I met a cyclist and we chatted for a few minutes enjoying the sunny day and a few minutes of company. We did lunch and all was great, and then it was time to head back. So we changed the scenario. This...

Our first Wild Family Adventures post!!!!!!!

So here it is, our first Wild Family Adventures post and we are extraordinarily excited to share with you our journey as a family and what it is that we really love to do together. Our adventures are mostly not complicated antarctic missions, though you never know, rather generally small adventures that allow us to get away from our everyday and have an amazing experience together. It takes a little preparation but it’s always worthwhile. And so our very first, this is a simple one, one that we organised on the spur of the moment. So off with the TV kids, we’re away, and on a busy weekend this one only took half a day! So we gathered our things and jumped in the car for what would be a 40 minute trip. We were meeting some good friends out at Numinbah...
